At least he understood and felt remorse at how deep his actions were rather than seeing it at a surface level and feeling sorry for it.
Scars won’t go away. Forgiveness is even possible, but trust is very difficult to reacquire.
Arriving at the capital reminds me it’s supposed to have romance, ML better be the best ML ever written because he has a lot of heavy lifting to do…
I swear to god,if it’s a prince or something similar, I’m gonna flip my sh*t. Especially if he is an arrogant piece of shit, I’m never coming back. The protagonist is a reasonable woman whom is different from all the other novels with femprot I have read. If she has to dial with high level nobles once again, fuck this.
Can we go back to her painting again? I’m getting tired of this…
I find these interactions interesting, but I also miss the painting.
I agree, I want to get back to the painting too…but up until the “okay” I thought this chapter was the best chapter written thus far…it doesn’t let that cliche “family should forgive family” excuse get in the way of honestly breaking down what happened to Violet, and how Roen is continuing to violate her by forcing his apologies on her…
I don’t know much about siblings, but the “okay” response is common towards abusive parents… in the end there is just nothing you can do about it except to say “okay”, you cannot forgive them, but you can not easily be strangers either
I honestly adore his character 💕
Thank you so much for the translation!
Sometimes, no matter the intent or genuine feelings, it is simply far too late. There are things in this world that can never be undone. The best you can do for her now is to let her go, Roen.
Whoever her ML is better be some genuine angel
Let’s not forget he himself was a child . I believe each and every one of them are victims one way or another. An apology dose not remove the actions of an individual but it sure is beneficial for the path of healing .
So basically her whole childhood is trauma…
