Thank you, for your hard work!
Thank you for the chapter<3
Bah! Just leave her be, Roan! She really doesn’t need your meddling. Let her live in peace.
Thanks for the chapter!
That comment Roen made to Violet about killing Mikhail just nauseated me, and then to claim it’s a joke…he’s doing to Mikhail exactly what he did to Violet before, and I don’t think that’s lost on Violet…I’m not sure if he’s trying to manipulate Violet into feeling sorry for Mikhail or just tormenting Violet with the notion that Roen could just as easily joke about killing her…
Why let a seed of rebellion remain? If you’re gonna do something, do it properly
To be honest, the point of Roen telling Violet about this is quite strange, do he think she would be pleased by his revenge for her? But for Roen it is definitely a good choice to just kill Mikhail, that is the thing you do to your political rivalry, you never know if he would raise an army just to overthrow you or whatever, but this is quite common story in history. But if he is such a cold-hearted political animal, I suppose he should not care about Violet at all either(if he don’t value family relationship). It’s odd, but I guess this is just a cliche Shojo manga like trope
I said it before, but I’ll say it again, the last person Violet should have to meet is the prince. Whether or not he’s a good person, is entirely irrelevant, the guy has the future of the entire kingdom on his shoulders. If Violet ever cought his eye, she would also be forced to bear that same burden as well. To force such a thing on someone so vulnerable is downright evil.
I know, I’m kind of jumping the gun on this, acting as if they’ll be engaged from the second they meet, but Violet, at least according to what we know, is a beutifull girl, and her talents in art have already caught his eyes. Plus she has both the noble blood of the duke flowing through her veins, and the education to match it. She is already a queen candidate just from her blood alone. So the idea that the prince could take an interest in her, isn’t exactly an exaggeration. Besides with Roen’s track record, this so called ‘meeting’ would be little more than an arranged blind date.
What I’m worried about, is that we’ll see some ‘male yandere’ type situation, where Violet will be forced to marry and get abused under the auspices of the royal family. As a noble of the kingdom she literally has no power to disobey the prince if he wanted her. So overall the only good outcome would be for her not to meet him in the first place.
I don’t think you’re jumping the gun. Not Violet’s blood relative, check. Keeps showing up, check. Either the crown prince or the duke of the North™, check. Pretty standard for an ML.
My worry is a little milder than yours, mainly that this is going to be one of those stories that pretends that a character like Violet would actually be happy if she became queen.
There’s finally a crack in the dam wall (Mikhail).
Is really small, but it’s a start!
Just go away dude. Why do you keep coming back and wasting our time!? I want to go back to Violet’s daily life.
Thanks ^^
Next arc in the capital?
Roen is trash and is staying that way.
Im not saying roen *isnt* trash. But give the dude some credit. He’s cleaned out the worse garbage of mikhail. He’s blocking out rumours. He took up a position of power to clear out the ducal household and is removing aileen’s influence. Yea, its annoying he keeps showing up to violet and he isnt forgivable and is a snake at heart, but lets not pretend her peaceful life isnt being protected and extended by him
I hear you and all, but that notion is lost to me as soon as the second time he try to make her see the Prince.
Because that’s to me look exactly like this:
“You are having depression? You need a date/boyfriend/girlfriend/whatever.”
